Constable Ross visits Whio Studio

Today we were lucky enough to have Constable Ross visit us in our studio. He talked to us about what police officers do in our community. Dominic was lucky enough to try a police uniform on.

If anyone is going to the AMP show this week Constable Ross gave us a great piece of advice- write your mum and dad's cell number on your hand. That way of you get lost someone can contact them for you!

Tower Building Challenge

In Whio today for maths we set a challenge for the children to build a tower. The children chose the special feature of their tower (eg Tallest, strongest, widest etc). Working in small groups of 2 or 3 the children got busy designing and building their tower. It was awesome to see great team work and lots of fun being had by all. The finished towers were pretty special and the children were all very proud of themselves.
